We cultivate long-term relationships with individuals, teams, and businesses to ensure we have a detailed understanding of their unique needs and can adapt our program delivery to meet them. We do not do 'off the shelf' training and we do not roll in with a standardised PowerPoint presentation and tell you how to do your job!

We are a small business that values personal, engaging, and down-to-earth relationships with our clients. We use colour, music, conversation, visual facilitation... And often, chocolate!

We are passionate about supporting the people and businesses we work with to develop their leadership capabilities and achieve their goals. With over 25 years of experience, we have a proven track record of transforming teams and growing good leaders!

FAQs

Can I run team building and leadership development myself?

It is tempting as a leader to self-facilitate team development workshops; however, quality facilitation requires objectivity, lack of bias, and is enhanced by experience and expertise. As the leader of the team, achieving this neutrality is near impossible! Your influence on the team dynamic may lead to poor decision making, discourage your people from providing challenging feedback, and also hamper your own opportunities for growth and learning. Engaging an experienced facilitator allows you to participate actively, grows the capacity of your team, and results in higher levels of buy-in and better outcomes.

What will we do at the workshop?

This is a tough one - no two workshops are the same! We meet you where you are, and tailor our programs to address your unique concerns and needs. We can promise colourful, visual facilitation, good music, and probably chocolate. We explore evidence-based models and techniques, and run experiential activities to encourage sharing and open discussion. Every workshop we run does share some fundamental goals - to increase clarity and communication, renew collective and individual motivation, and create space for quality time as a team; something most groups struggle to find regularly in our busy lives!

What is the value of coaching; what makes it worth the time and investment?

In the words of John C. Maxwell "Good Leadership begins with leaders knowing who they are. Successful leaders work hard to know themselves. They know and understand their own strengths and weaknesses. They have a sense of where they are going and how they want to get there. As a result, they know what they’re capable of doing, and their leadership is steady." At Face The World, we use a systems-thinking approach to coaching; to challenge your mindset, encourage self-reflection, and support you with meaningful actions. Coaching is a valuable opportunity for leaders to work on self; set goals, form action plans, develop emotional intelligence skills, explore conflict resolution and build resilience. When you spend the bulk of your time leading and supporting others, having a coach to hold space for you to work on you is important!
